Getting Started, Access, and Responsible Use

FieldNotes is a clinical companion designed for psychotherapists, counsellors, psychologists, coaches, supervisors, and other professionals in the helping fields.
It supports you in:
· clarifying your own clinical thinking,
· translating lived sessions into coherent professional language,
· deepening reflective and supervisory awareness,
· maintaining continuity across sessions without reducing clients to diagnoses or checklists.
FieldNotes is not:
· a diagnostic engine,
· a treatment protocol,
· a replacement for clinical judgment,
· a decision-maker about clients’ lives,
· a substitute for supervision, training, or ethical responsibility.
The app works best when used after a session, as a reflective and structuring aid — not as something that dictates what therapy should be.
FieldNotes is designed for professionals who work relationally, including (but not limited to):
· Psychotherapists
· Counsellors
· Clinical psychologists
· Coaches
· Supervisors
· Trainees and advanced students in mental health disciplines
It is especially suited for those working in:
· relational, humanistic, Gestalt, phenomenological, psychodynamic, integrative, and culturally sensitive approaches,
· complex relational fields (couples, families, organisations),
· contexts where lived experience, field awareness, and therapist participation matter.
You do not need to identify as a Gestalt therapist to use FieldNotes — but the app assumes that therapy is relational, contextual, and human, not mechanical.

What Are Credits?
· Credits are a usage unit, not a measure of “value” or “quality”.
· 1 credit = 1 structured clinical notes generation
· Additional reflections / supervision views use additional credits
Credits exist to:
· keep usage intentional,
· prevent compulsive over-generation,
· support ethical, reflective use rather than mechanical repetition.
Free Trial

· No payment method is required.
· Trial credits are intended for exploration, not heavy clinical load.
Trial credits:
· do not renew,
· cannot be transferred,
· expire once used.
Subscription Plan

Managing Your Subscription
· From within the app, subscribed users can:
· open the secure billing portal,

· cancel or pause the subscription.
All billing is handled securely via Stripe. FieldNotes does notstore your card details.
You are responsible for:
· anonymising client data,
· avoiding full names or identifying details,
· complying with your local ethical codes and legal requirements.
FieldNotes is designed to work with process descriptions, not identifiable records.
Data Storage
· The app does not function as an electronic medical record (EMR).
· Generated text is created on demand.
· You choose whether to download or store outputs locally.
Ethical Use
· FieldNotes must never be used to:
· replace informed consent,
· justify unsafe practice,
· generate diagnoses without clinical assessment,
· produce legal or medico-legal documentation without professional review.
FieldNotes is most effective when you:
· write raw, honest session narratives,
· include your own sensations, confusions, hesitations,
· allow ambiguity instead of forcing clarity,
· treat the output as material for reflection, not truth.
This app is designed to help you become more precise, more present, and more aware — not more formulaic.
Unlike CBT-style or diagnostic systems, FieldNotes:
· does not reduce experience to symptoms,
· does not optimise for “outcome scores”,
· does not classify clients into fixed categories.
Instead, it works with:
· process,
· relationship,
· field conditions,
· unfinished business,
· therapist participation.
The app supports the therapist as an instrument, not as a technician applying a manual.
FieldNotes Can:
· help organise clinical language,
· support reflective supervision thinking,
· surface patterns across sessions,
· deepen awareness of contact processes,
· support ethical, thoughtful practice.
FieldNotes Cannot:
· tell you what intervention to do,
· decide what is “right” for a client,
· replace supervision, training, or lived experience,
· carry responsibility for clinical decisions.
FieldNotes is designed to support the therapist’s humanity, not bypass it.
Used well, it can:
· sharpen clinical language,
· deepen reflection,
· support ethical presence,
and help you remain in contact with your work — rather than becoming lost in paperwork or protocols.
